Diesel Emission Systems: DPF and EGR Diagnostics and Testing

Diesel emissions systems are often misunderstood and criticized. When diagnosing EGR related fault codes and symptoms, we see where mistakes are made. Clinton Brett will explain in traditional Diesel Help format, how he interprets the EGR system to ensure its operation and purpose is understood.

The emissions system chief in command the DPF, can be utilized as a valuable in-built diagnostic scan tool. This course is for those who accept that not everything requires a computer to diagnose. Information taken from the session, will prove to be valuable for future DPF and EGR diagnostics.

This course will cover:

  • Explanation of common rail diesel induction system operation
  • Explanation of EGR system, components operation and characteristics
  • Repair and diagnostic solutions for EGR systems
  • Explanation of the DPFs function and operation
  • Explanation of Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) Operation and testing
  • Explanation of the DPF Vaporizer operation, diagnostics and maintenance
  • On vehicle demonstrations: diagnosing and testing of the DPF and EGR systems

DPF and EGR Diagnostics and Testing Course commences on Tuesday 8 October at 6pm – 9:30pm
3 hours in class and practical plus 30 minutes dinner and networking
Includes training manual and certificate of participation

To maximise learning, this course is limited to 20 places
