This course, developed by Clinton Brett, focuses on injector operation and how injectors function as fuel control valves within common rail diesel systems.

Many technicians do not realise that injectors are fuel control valves. Their role is to precisely control fuel flow, delivering it at the correct pressure and timing, and returning excess fuel to the tank after each injection event.

While earlier systems relied on mechanical injector operation, modern common rail injectors have a far greater influence on engine reliability, stability, performance, and emissions.
